SARF Education and Training Courses

Courses

The education committee of the South African Road Federation (SARF) organises and presents a number of courses pertinent to the design, construction, maintenance and administration of roads. All SARF Courses have been awarded CPD Points(Continuing Professional Development)Points through  SAICE(South African Institute of Civil Engineering). These courses are aimed at qualified civil engineers and technicians with at least a few years involvement in the design and construction of all categories of roads and streets, although this is not a prerequisite for attendance.

These courses, which vary in duration from one and a half days to four and a half days are generally of a practical nature, although revision of the relevant theoretical aspects are often included for completeness.

They are presented at various venues in the main centres throughout South Africa on a regular basis, generally annually, however should there be the demand, the course convenors will give additional presentations to suit the needs of the industry.

The SARF is also willing to make arrangements to present these courses at venues outside our borders to help disseminate the knowledge to those who, for various reasons cannot attend the courses held in South Africa, should the interest prove to be mutually beneficial.
